Thinking, in times when families gather together, how hard it is when someone you love dearly can’t be with you.
I wrote this song feeling the tender stuff you feel when missing your lover. The next week I found myself singing it over the phone in heart-aching tones to my daughter & grand daughter five months into living across the other side of the world in Berlin – the feelings were just the same. So here’s a song for you if you’re missing someone … Feel free to send the words to them – Missing You Lyric – May you be re-united soon!
Missing You
© Radha Sahar 2009
Don’t understand it.
Dunno what’s goin’ on
There’s a gap as wide as a football field
When you are gone
Such a deep down longing
Night and day
I eat chocolate cake
But it don’t seem to take
The hunger away
You’re my soothing syrup
You’re my healing balm
You’re my rib bone, baby
My 23rd psalm
You’re my heavenly twin
Wish I was kissin’ you
There’s an hour in every minute
I am missing you
Can’t explain it – there’s no tears. I’m not in pain
It’s just the natural thing to do, to hang out with you
Now that you’re in my veins
I lie awake well after one
And when daylight finally comes
I keep busy and yet
I never seem to get anything done
You’re my soothing syrup …
Never found I could count on love
As much as this
Sweet everyday, kinda work and play
Togetherness
You fill my being
Like the morning sun
Can’t help smilin’ babe
I tell the whole parade
That we are one
You’re my soothing syrup
You’re my healing balm
You’re my rib bone, baby
My 23rd psalm
You’re my heavenly twin
Wish I was kissin’ you
There’s an hour in every minute
I am missing you

Hi there, I think the words to ‘Missing You” are
just great. You are sooo clever!!!Where was I in the
family when the ‘brains’ were being dished out?
Love you girl. Love to Charles & Davuid.
