A Happy Ending

Quotes: the world is full of them. Facebook, Twitter, your email inbox, probably chokka … sometimes it’s all a bit tooooo inspiring!

But once or twice in a lifetime a quote stops you in your tracks. The words turn in your mind, arriving at a perfect juncture – a gift  from someone you’ll probably never meet. Here’s one that changed me recently …

Maria! There will be people creating new endings all over the place! Who knows what will happen? A new ending is opening up for me already! A new home in a new town. Fantastic soil in which to grow organic veges. New friends to make. New songs to write and musos to jam with… A life-changing, happy ending every day.

But anyone can start today – and make a new ending’
“That’s it!” you smile at me and say

Here we are. Here and now
Everything will fall into place somehow

Here’s to starting a happy ending now!

New direction, gift in the moment, every day
Over the same old same old, embracing the unknown way
Snap decision every minute
I’ll smile at you and say “Here we are …

Thanks, whoever wrote that quote originally
Never met you, but you changed my life. Surely you must be
A source of wisdom, a force, a fountain
Giving to all and all for free

Here we are. Here and now
